Can you cut LED strip lights?
Yes, you can cut most types of LED strip lights. Many manufacturers of strip and tape lights add marked cut lines that indicate where the light strip can be separated. This is because at those sections, the circuit is closed and will not disturb the flow of electricity if it is cut there. Cutting the strip anywhere outside of the indicated lines will likely cause issues with electricity reaching the full length of the strip.
Some models of strip lights are not cuttable, though, so always be sure to check with the manufacturer to see what type of strip lights you have.
