Many types of under cabinet lights are linkable, meaning they can connect in a continuous line and draw power from the same source. Under cabinet fixtures typically have a kind of hardwire or built-in socket connector to facilitate linking. Otherwise, they require a separate accessory specifically made for connecting them together.

CyberTech has a linking cord plug available that allows you to connect up to 20 under cabinet lights. They also have a hardwire connection box with a built-in switch that gives you more control over how electricity travels to linked light strips.

Battery backups in lighting are used for supplementary or emergency power when the primary source of power is not available. Typically, they operate automatically for safety and user convenience.
