Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) uses Ultraviolet-C (UV-C) radiation to disinfect an area. Short wavelengths of light considered UV, or ultraviolet, light provide antibacterial effects. Measured in nanometers (nm), UV lights include UV-A (near), UV-B (middle), and UV-C (far) wavebands ranging from 10nm up to 400nm.
According to the 175W and 240W carts as well as a 320W option.
UV-C, like UV-A and UV-B, can cause damage to humans. According to the FDA, it can cause severe burns on the skin as well as eye injuries. They advise you avoid direct exposure to skin. Never look at UV-C lamps or a UVC light source directly.
Ericson offers their UV-C Perma-Kleen Cart which acts as a mobile surface disinfection unit.
Benefits include:
Ericson disinfection cart options include a 175W, 240W, and 320W carts. The 175W option uses 1 motion/heat activated PIR sensor that offers 130-degrees of protection. This shuts the system down when it detects movement or heat. The 240W cart comes equipped with 2 motion/heat activated PIR sensors for 260-degrees of protection when it detects movement or heat. The 320W cart uses 4 motion/heat activated PIR sensors for 360-degrees of protection that shuts the system down when detecting movement or heat.
