While both function as ceiling lights, a track light typically features exposed installation, while a spotlight features embedded installation. Track lighting, sometimes called rail lighting, installs on linear tracks and uses line voltage, while spotlights typically recess into the ceiling and offer less flexibility. The light bulbs in spotlights focus on a specific area, which makes them work well for highlighting specific pieces of art or specific task areas. Track systems spread out over a general area such as a living room, but the lights can also point down towards specific areas for task lighting. They come in fixed track or sliding track options. Fixed track heads don't move slide on the track, while sliding track lights move along the track.

Their 24W LED Surface Mount track lighting head features an adjustable direction light so that it can fit different applications and features a construction of die cast aluminum and a white finish. These track heads work in indoor locations only and work with most brands configured to a Halo Track light system design.

Eurofase includes dimmable spotlights with 3 different sizes and lighting design types: 2-in, 2.5-in, and 3-in. The 2-in fixture gives off 650 lm and uses 8 watts, while the 2.5-in fixture gives off 990 lm and uses 13W. The 3-in fixture gives off 480 lm and uses 20 watts. All fixtures give off a 3000K color temperature and work in damp locations.
