What is a dimmable driver?
A dimmable driver is an electronic device that controls the power that is given to LED lights. Dimmable drivers regulate electric currents so you can adjust the LED light’s brightness. This allows for various dimming options. Dimmable drivers are needed to pair with dimmer switches to prevent flickering or inconsistent dimming.
Why are insulated ceiling boxes good for LED Donwlights?
Insulated ceiling boxes are good for LED downlights because they prevent the risk of fire. Most downlights generate heat which can lead to a fire if the junction box comes in contact with the insulation. To prevent this, insulated ceiling boxes, specifically ones that are IC-rated, were created to safely contact insulation when the downlight becomes hot.
