What are fresh air appliances?

A fresh air appliance is a device that controls the ventilation in a home. They work by continuously supplying fresh, filtered air into the building while also removing an equal amount of stale air.

There are 6 different series of air appliances that Fantech offers. These include:

  • ATMO Series: HRVs and ERVs in this series have side ported housing with a crossflow core, providing up to 75% heat/energy recovery. Ideal for single-family homes.
  • FIT Series: ERVs are side ported and 10 inches deep when installed. Use a crossflow core for high-performance and are available with multiple options for multi-family application needs.
  • HERO Series: HRVs that provide ventilation in top-ported housing. Use a counterflow heat exchanger and are ideal for both single and multi-family homes.
  • AEV: Fresh Air appliances that introduce fresh air into a home while removing the same amount of stale air. Install the AEV appliance in any position.
  • VER: ERVs are top ported that use energy recovery and mainly used for budget projects. Its crossflow core provides balanced performance in single and multi-family homes.
  • VHR: HRVs use the Air Boost Mode. They have a crossflow core and aluminum allowing for heat transfer. They can be used in single and multi-family homes. Its Turbotouch technology features an air boost mode that delivers 50% efficiency overtime.
