How do I test my Exit Emergency Light?
To check if your Exit Emergency Light sign is functioning every month, push the test button on the bottom edge of the exit sign and hold for thirty seconds. If the light does not light for the full thirty seconds, then the battery is bad.
If you have to check multiple exit signs, you can check them all at the same time by shutting off the power. Once the power is off, if the lights are on 30 minutes later, the lights work.

An annual test for your exit emergency light is also required. For the annual test you will need to remove the power from the emergency light. Once the power has been removed, monitor the light and if it stays lit for 90 minutes then it still works.
