What is bonnet buffing?
Carpet bonnets are attached to rotary buffing machines to buff large floor areas. They are made of cotton, rayon, polypropylene, as well as microfibers to absorb moisture from carpets, tiles, hardwood, and other floor surfaces.
How do you bonnet clean a carpet?
Bonnets are used to clean commercial carpets, and are not meant for deep cleaning jobs like carpet shampoos and hot water extractions. In order to bonnet clean your carpet, follow these steps.
- Step One: Vacuum the carpet
- Step Two: Apply cleaning solution to the carpet
- Step Three: Using a floor machine, burnisher, or buffing machine, place carpet bonnet over the pad driver
- Step Four: Proceed to clean the carpet. Flip over the carpet bonnet or replace as it gets excessively dirty.
- Step Five: Continue last two steps until clean. When finished, wait for carpet to dry.
