Wall Light

A wall pack is an outdoor light that is meant to act as a security or outdoor lighting source for commercial and residential buildings. A wall light is more for indoor use and usually doesn’t emit as bright of a light or cover as large of an area. Both are surface mounted to a wall, but their locations are the opposite. 

A lot of wall lights can be considered decorative lights because they come in a variety of styles and designs. Not all of these lights are decorative and are more often used for utility, but it depends on which light you are choosing and the location it is going in. Some wall lights, such as wall sconces, have a sleek design and can be used both indoors and outdoors. Other flush mount lights can be used for accent lighting. 

Some wall lights can be used for security lights. A wall sconce can be used for both indoor and outdoor lighting and provides an up and down concentrated light. This may be nice to have outside your home or building, but wall packs are more often used for security purposes because their light covers a larger area more often than not. Wall lights are more for indoor locations such as living rooms, family rooms, and hospitality environments. 

Wall sconces are wall mounted light fixtures that are ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. Commonly used in hallways, these LED light fixtures are extremely versatile, and come in a variety of styles. Depending on what you want your lighting output to be, wall packs may be the better option for outdoor lighting to illuminate larger areas while wall lights can illuminate hallways and smaller spaces.
