Maxlite offers several accessories for commercial and industrial lighting that can enhance the protection, durability, and functionality of your devices. The most common accessories featured at MaxLite include:

• pole adapters, slide shields and wire guards for area lights
• wire guards, reflectors and power extenders for high/low bay lighting
• visors, lenses and junction boxes for outdoor flood lights
• Additional wire guards and visors for wall pack lights.

There are also several add on and replacement options available for purchase which include replacement lenses for your flush mount fixtures and dusk to dawn night lights for indoor spaces.

A junction box is a tool that is used with outdoor lighting to house and connect electrical wiring in a safe manner. Junction boxes can be made of durable plastic or metal material depending on their intended use.

Junction boxes consists of built in conduits, or channels, that help to organize and route the wiring to its correct destination. The Maxlite junction box for outdoor flood lighting contains several 4.5-inch conduits and makes mounting on flat surfaces a possibility.

Although usage of a junction box is not required for all types of industrial outdoor lighting, flood lights must have a direct connection rating in order to be used without one. The fixture’s wiring will be channeled through the junction box, then mounted on the ceiling or wall of your choice.

Shade reflectors are added on tools used with high/low bay light fixtures to control the quantity and quality of distributed light. 360-degree fixtures such as high/low bay lights can sometimes need the direction of light to be adjusted depending on its placement.

• PC, or Polycarbonate shades are durable reflectors that can be exposed to higher temperatures due to the heat resistance of the material.
• Aluminum shades can increase lighting efficiency since they require less adjustment to produce a higher reflection. Increased reflection can reduce the amount of energy required to light the space.

A modular wiring drop is a type of direct power extension used for high bay light fixtures. Wiring drop cables are designed to provide a power source to units that cannot be connected to the main power system.

Maxlite wiring drop cables can be added to traditional wiring methods to improve and extend the range of your connected fixtures within the space.

A step-down transformer is a tool that is used to match voltage levels between electrical devices and the appliance in use. Step-down transformers will switch the higher power output of a connected device to a lower voltage range, to avoid potentially overpowering the system. Transformers are also used to convert high voltage devices to lower voltage ranges for proper operation.

Maxlite’s step-down autotransformer is designed to adjust voltage levels from 480v to 277v in utility lighting applications with ranges of 250 - 375 watts.
