Follow the 1/3 rule when determining the right size for pendant lights. According to this rule, your light fixture should be no more than 1/3 the size of the object you are hanging it over.
For example, if your bathtub is 6 feet long, your mini pendant light should be no more than 2 feet in diameter.
If you are hanging your mini pendant light over a table or countertop, you should leave about 30 inches of space between the bottom of the light fixture and the top of the surface.
If you are hanging the mini pendant light in a closet or hallway, make sure you leave enough room for someone to walk under it (approximately 7 feet of space between the ground and the bottom of the light fixture).
