How to install vanity light?

The installation process for Nuvo’s Decker Collection vanity light is pretty simple. However, consult with a licensed electrician to do the installation for you. Below are some of the steps the electrician will follow.

  • First the electrician will turn off the circuit breaker or remove the fuse from the fuse box to turn off the power.
  • Once the power is off, the electrician will carefully unpack the fixture and lay all the parts on a clean surface.
  • They will then fasten the cross bar onto the outlet box by using 2 of the outlet box screws that are provided.
  • Then the electrician will connect the wires from the outlet box and fixture to the ground screw on the cross bar.
  • When the electrician, finishes connecting all the wires, they will place the fixture body to the wall.
  • Then they will unscrew the socket rings and socket covers from the sockets.
  • If you have a bulb, they will install the bulb.
  • Then they will turn the power and test the light to make sure it works.

What is pendant lighting?

Pendant light is a light fixture that hangs from the ceiling. This type of light fixture is not to be confused with Semi-Flush mount fixtures. Nuvo’s Decker Collection offers a Pendant light perfect for increasing the ambiance of your home. This pendant comes with a brushed nickel color finish.

How to remove flush mount ceiling light?

Removing a flush mount ceiling light may seem simple. However, due to safety reasons, please consult an electrician.

  • To begin the removal, the electrician cut off the circuit breaker to ensure the power is off.
  • Then they will take the light down by carefully twisting or unscrewing the cover counterclockwise.
  • Then they will take a voltage tester pin and see if power is running through the wires.
  • If power is not running through the wires, the electrician will disconnect the wires. Starting with the black wire which is the hot wire. Then they will disconnect the white wire which is the neutral wire. Then they will finally disconnect the copper wire which is also known as the ground wire.
  • Once the wiring is completed, the flush mount is removed.
