Yes, you can use Jelly Jar lights in wet locations. Jelly Jar lights use vapor proof cages to prevent damage from surrounding damp or wet areas. Nuvo’s Industrial jelly jar light has a location rating that says “wet” meaning it can withstand wet locations.

Confirm whether a product can withstand water ingress by checking the IP rating. Products with IP65 or IP66 ratings have high resistance to water and wet conditions.

Installing a jelly jar outdoor light is simple. However, please make sure to have a licensed electrician complete the installation for you. Below will be the steps the electrician will take to complete the installation.

• Step 1: First, the electrician will turn off the power.
• Step 2: Then they will install the junction box and pull out the supply wires.
• Step 3: Then they will connect the wires using wire nuts to the corresponding socket wires.
• Step 4: The electrician will then attach the lamp to the junction box.
• Step 5: Then they will take the “A Type” bulb and screw it into the cage and socket.
• Step 6: Once the bulb is in, the electrician will test their work by turning on the light.
