1. To remove the flush mount, first turn off the power using the electrical panel. Turning off power prevents risking an electrical shock.
2. Use a screwdriver to unscrew and remove the fixture cover.
3. Carefully disconnect the wires connecting the old fixture to the electrical box. Take note of the color-coding of each wire for replacement installation.
4. Remove the old light bulb. Depending on the fixture, either unscrew at the base or unclip it from the fixture.
5. After disconnecting the wires and removing each bulb, use a screwdriver to remove the brackets or screw attaching the fixture to the ceiling.
6. Once finished, remove the fixture and prepare for replacement.
