Positioning your wall light is important so you have the best lighting possible. Make sure that you measure where you put the wall light.

• Entryway doors and Garages: If you want to add a light over your door or garage, then the light should be about 1/3 the height of the door. When adding two lights, they should be about a fourth of the height of the door. Additionally, place the lights about 66-inches from the floor or ground.
• Living and Dining rooms: For living rooms and dining rooms, the base of the light should hang at least 7-feet above the ground. The light should also be centered above the seating area.

To remove the flush mount ceiling light cover, consult a licensed electrician. This will prevent electrical shock and other serious injury. The steps below are steps the electrician will follow to do the removal.

• First, the electrician will turn off the power to the circuit breaker.
• Then, they gather the required tools, including screwdriver, ladder and gloves. Next, they will get on the ladder to reach the light fixture.
• The electrician then examines the light fixture and determines if the cover is held on by screws, clips or the twist-lock mechanism.
• If screws are holding the flush mount in place, the electrician unscrews them and puts them in a safe place.
• If a cover is holding the mount in place, the electrician will push or pull the clips so the cover will come off.
• If the cover is held on by the twist-lock method, then the electrician turns it clockwise to release it.
• Once the cover is removed, the electrician can either remove the light bulb or do any other maintenance that is needed.
