When hanging a vanity light, follow these general guidelines.

If the light is above the mirror, hang the vanity between 75 and 80 inches from the floor to the center of the light fixture. If the lights is beside the mirror, then the lights should be about 64 inches from the floor to the center of the vanity light.

While you can follow these standard measurements, you can also adjust the height of the vanity lights for your preferences.

To change the vanity light, the electrician will follow the instructions below.

1. The electrician will turn off the power to the circuit breaker. They will use a voltage tester to see if any electricity is flowing through the wires.
2. Once the power is off, the electrician will remove the existing bulbs from the fixture and put them aside.
3. The electrician will then unscrew the fixture using a screwdriver. They will need to be careful separating the fixture from the wall to not rip off any paint.
4. Then they will disconnect the wires.
5. The electrician will check the new vanity light to see if it has the proper proper parts. They will also put screw the bulbs into place to make it easier for the installation.
6. Once the bulbs are in place, the electrician will connect the wires from the new fixture to the wall and connect the fixture to the wall.
7. When the new fixture is installed, the electrician will turn the power back on and test to see if it works.
