How to remove flush mount ceiling light?
Before removing a flush mount ceiling light, you should hire a licensed electrician to complete the removal.
- To remove the flush mount, the electrician will first loosen the nipples on the ends of the light fixture. This will lower the fixture and make it easier to remove.
- The electrician will use a voltage tester to see if there is power flowing through the wires. Once it is confirmed there is no electricity, the electrician will proceed with the removal.
- The electrician will then disconnect the wires from each other. They will start with the black wires and then white wires and finally disconnect the ground wires.
- Once the wires are disconnected, the light fixture is removed and this finishes the removal process.
