You can position your outdoor wall light at a variety of heights depending on where it is placed. Here are the heights that you can place wall lights in places like front porch and patio.

• Front Porch: The recommended height for putting a wall light for the front porch is between 60 and 65 inches high.
• Patio: For the patio, it is recommended that the wall light should be between 6 and 6.5 feet high.
• Entryways: For front door entries, install your outdoor wall lights 66-72 inches from the floor.
• Above Garage: Center the wall light above the garage door and ensure the bottom of the fixture sits level with the top of either garage door.

Before removing a flush mount ceiling light, you should hire a licensed electrician to complete the removal.

• To remove the flush mount, the electrician will first loosen the nipples on the ends of the light fixture. This will lower the fixture and make it easier to remove.
• The electrician will use a voltage tester to see if there is power flowing through the wires. Once it is confirmed there is no electricity, the electrician will proceed with the removal.
• The electrician will then disconnect the wires from each other. They will start with the black wires and then white wires and finally disconnect the ground wires.
• Once the wires are disconnected, the light fixture is removed and this finishes the removal process.
