Always make sure an electrician is changing or installing the fixture. Below are simple steps the electrician will take to change a vanity light fixture.

• First the electrician will turn off the power.
• Once the power is off, the electrician will remove the bulbs from the socket and put them to the side.
• Then they will unscrew the fixture. While the fixture is unscrewed, they will disconnect the wires.
• Now the electrician will install the new vanity light fixture.
• They will need to make sure the connections are correct and in the right place.
• Once they complete these steps, they will turn the power back on and observe whether the light works.

It is recommended that wall sconces should hang about 5 feet above the ground. This is a universal height, so you still need to take individual measurements to have optimal lighting for you. To find the right height for the wall sconce, sit how you normally would on the bed. Then measure about a few inches above your shoulder. This will tell you the placement of the wall sconce.
