How to replace vanity light?
Have a licensed electrician replace your vanity light. The steps they will take to complete the replacement will look something like the following:
- Step 1: They will turn off the power.
- Step 2: Then they will remove the bulbs and unscrew the fixture.
- Step 3: The electrician will then disconnect the wires.
- Step 4: Then they will prepare the new vanity light fixture.

- Step 6: Once they install the light fixture, they will double check the connections and turn the power back on to see if everything works.
How high should a vanity light be?
The standard height for vanity lights is between 75 and 80 inches above the floor. If that height can’t be achieved, try to get the vanity light at eye level. This rule changes if your bathroom mirror stands above 75-80 inches. In that case, do not change the height of the vanity lighting.
