It is recommended to have around three pendant lights when looking for the right number of pendants. Most of the time, the number of pendant lights depends on the size of your island. If you have a small island, which is 4 feet long and 2 feet wide, then you can have around two lights.

To place a sconce on a wall, follow these steps below.

1. Make a spot where you want to put the sconce.
2. Cut a hole for the electrical box.
3. Then cut a hole in the drywall so you can run a wire to a switch.
4. Once the holes are created, connect the wires to the junction box and bring the wire to the place where the switch will be.
5. Then run the wire from an existing outlet to the switch location.
6. Install the switch box and attach it to a stud while also attaching the wires from the sconce.
7. Then install the mounting plate at the sconce plate.
8. You can then attach the sconce to the mounting plate.
9. Then you will be able to attach the wire running from the light switch to the outlet.
10. Test the switch by turning the power on. If everything works, put the switch plate on and putting the sconce on the wall is completed.
