How to change bulb in outdoor wall lantern?

To change the light bulb in your wall lantern, consult with a licensed electrician. Below are the steps they will take to change the light bulb.

  1. To remove the light bulb, the electrician will remove the nuts on the lantern.
  2. Once the nuts are loosened, the lantern bowl will lower, and the electrician will put the bowl to the side.
  3. After placing the bowl aside, the electrician will take the old bulb out of the socket.
  4. The electrician will place a new bulb in the socket and see if it works. If the bulb works, they will put the lantern bowl back over the bulb and screw the nuts back into place.

How to install outdoor post light?

To install Nuvo’s 60W Tofino Series Post Light follow the instructions below.

  • Before beginning the installation, ensure your safety by turning off the power to the circuit breaker. This will prevent serious injury for you when working with the electrical wires.
  • You should also open the box and make sure all the contents are included in the box. If you have everything, you can begin the installation process.
  • To begin the installation, place the glass to the fixture and put the nipple through the glass and fixture. Then put the ball nut and rubber gasket over the fixture. Secure the ball nut and rubber gasket with a round iron sheet and ball nut.
  • Then install the light bulb and secure the base to the fixture using finials.
  • Use wire connections to connect the positive and neutral wires. Then connect the ground wire to the junction box ground port.
  • Once completing those steps, you will move on to the wiring piece which requires patience and precision.
  • First, put the ground screw into the hole on the mounting bar. Then wrap the ground wire from the fixture around the grounding screw. Connect the grounding wire from the fixture to the grounding wire from the outlet box using a wire connector.
  • Separate the black and white wires from each other and connect them to the corresponding wires from the outlet box. Use a wire connector for the connection.
  • Once the wires are connected, put the fixture to the post using the screws.
