How far apart should mini pendant lights be hung?

To find how far apart your mini pendant should be, use the given formula.

Measure the table’s length.

Then, divide that number by the number of pendants, plus one.

The outcome is the required distance between each pendant fixture. When you hang the pendants, make sure to measure the distance from the center of one of the mini pendants to the next.

Example:

  • If you have a kitchen island that is 12 feet long and you want to have four mini pendants, you will need to see how far apart the four mini pendants need to be from each other.
  • To find this, divide 12 by 5 (four plus one). This will give you 2.4. So, this means that you should hang the pendants about 2.4 feet apart from each other.
  • How high to mount wall sconce?

The height of your wall sconce depends on your preferences and the surrounding decor in your home. While you are encouraged to adjust to your needs, below are recommended heights you can place your wall sconces.

    • Hallways: Place your wall sconce between 66 and 72 inches from the floor. If you are placing more than one wall sconce on the wall, make sure to leave at least 6 feet between each sconce.
    • Bathroom: Use sconces to compliment your vanity by putting them on the sides. The recommended height for these bathroom vanities is between 5.5 and 6 feet from the floor.
    • Bedroom: We recommended that you should place it around 30 to 36 inches above the top mattress. Another option is to sit on the bed and measure between 6 and 12 inches from your shoulder.
    • Living Room: In general, the height of the sconce should be between 60-72 inches from the floor. Adjust installations for rooms with higher ceilings.
    • Entryways: For indoor entryways, place the wall sconce next to the front door or on the wall opposite of where the door swings 60 to 72 inches from the floor. For an outdoor entryway, put the sconce on the side that has the doorbell 60 to 72 inches from the floor.

Keep in mind, these are suggested heights. Optimal install heights can change based on your room’s height and the fixture’s size.
