If you are replacing another ceiling light, simply uninstall the current fixture and replace it with the semi flush mount. Ceiling lights use the same wiring, so no new wiring is necessary. Here is a step-by-step installation process:

• First, turn off all power to the existing light or fixture using the circuit breaker.
• Remove your old ceiling light.
• Inspect your old wiring to make sure there are no exposed wires.
• Mount the crossbar of your new fixture.
• Connect the wires of the new fixture. These wires as well as the ones already in your ceiling should be color-coded.
• Make sure all the new wires are safely secured behind the drywall.
• Secure the new fixture’s base.
• Make sure you have the correct bulb with the necessary wattage for the fixture.
• Turn the power back on using the circuit breaker.
