Duct heaters provide primary or supplemental heating for residential or commercial applications. They function using resistance to generate heat and connect to an air duct in your building. Duct heaters work well in buildings that require different temperatures in separate areas.
A make-up air unit functions as part of an HVAC system to replace air that the system can no longer circulate. Make-up air units influence or 'temper' the air. They change the temperature of the outside air they bring in. This causes less stress on the HVAC system.
Additionally, make-up air units improve indoor air quality (IAQ) in buildings with inadequate ventilation.
Stelpro offers two types of duct heaters: the SDHR series round duct heater and ASB series dual-energy duct heater. The SDHR series features a round duct heater while the ASB series features a dual-energy mode.
They also offer the MUAA series make-up air unit, which offers wall control and multiple installation positions.
Additionally, the Stelpro duct heaters and make-up air units feature a temperature sensor and galvanized steel cabinet. The duct heaters use modulating heating elements to incrementally adjust the temperature. This process makes them more energy efficient as it does not allow for large increases or decreases in the air temperature.
