An LED PL lamp is an elongated bulb designed to replace inefficient Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL). While mostly used in commercial buildings, like warehouses or healthcare facilities, you can also use them in offices, homes, and retail stores. Put them in fixtures like commercial ceiling fans, wall sconces, and downlights.
They offer two different orientations: horizontal or vertical. This determines which way to insert the bulb. Whether you need horizontal or vertical mounting depends on your light fixture.
LEDVANCE Sylvania LED PL bulbs make energy saving easy. LEDs offer a longer rated life than their traditional fluorescent counterparts. Some options, like this 9W LED Vertical PL bulb, feature a rated life of 50,000 hours.
Their options come in a wide range of color temperatures, wattages, base types, and installation styles. Find color temperatures ranging from a warm 2700K up to a crisp 4100K. They also offer both vertical and horizontal lamps. Wattage options range from 6W-16W.
The Sylvania PL LED bulbs we carry use a ballast compatible connection. Ballast compatible, or plug-and-play, means you simply plug a compatible PL bulb into your current fixture for an easy way to retrofit lamps.
The base you need depends on the ballast in your fixture. Which base operates with each ballast may differ depending on the brand. For Sylvania LED PL Bulbs:
G24q and GX24q bases operate with 4 pins, 24 millimeters apart. They offer horizontal and vertical mounting options. The GX23 base operate with 2-pins, separated by 23 millimeters, and only use horizontal mounting options.
