TCP Lighting T10 and T06 light bulbs offer a tubular design. The number following the letter typically refers to the diameter of the bulb in eighths of an inch. For TCP Lighting T10 light bulbs, the '10' following 'T' means the diameter measures about 10/8-inch or around 1.25 inches. A T06 bulb measures around 0.75 inches in diameter.
T10 light bulbs come in a variety of designs. TCP Lighting provides a selection of LED T10 and T06 lights that feature a filament bulb design. These bulbs can see use lighting accent and decorative lighting applications like certain wall sconces, pendant lights, display lights, and much more.
LED filament bulbs often get called Edison bulbs due to their resemblance to the original incandescent bulb designed by Thomas Edison. They use an internal filament to provide light. Incandescent bulbs use a filament, typically a tungsten or carbon filament, which burns out quickly because of the heat generated by the bulb. LED filaments consist of light emitting diodes (LEDs) arranged on a strip. LEDs generate very little heat, so these bulbs offer a longer lifespan.
Many filament LED light bulbs offer lower color temperatures, around 2700K, for a warm white light similar to incandescent bulbs. Low color temperatures provide a comfortable, warm light suitable for homes and hospitality locations. However, certain bulbs can offer higher color temperatures, around 4000K or 5000K, for a cooler, white light that works well in commercial applications.
