What is a T6 bulb?

For T6 light bulbs, the ‘T’ refers to the tubular or tube-like shape. The ‘6’ refers to the diameter of the bulb in 1/8 inches. This means T6 bulbs measure about 6/8 inches in diameter, or about 0.75 inches around. TCP Lighting offers LED T6 bulbs that use a candelabra, or E12, base.

TCP Lighting offers LED filament bulb options. LED filament bulbs, also referred to as Edison bulbs, use an internal LED filament. LED filament bulbs typically offer a similar appearance and low color temperature to incandescent bulbs.

What is color temperature?

The color temperature of a light bulb measures the color of the white light emitted by the bulb in Kelvins (K). Common color temperatures fall between 2700K – 5000K, but they can also fall higher or lower on the scale. Lower color temperatures appear warmer, or more yellow, while higher temperatures appear cooler, or bluer.

TCP Lighting offers T6 tubes with low color temperatures ranging from 2200K – 2700K. These temperatures offer an extremely warm or soft white glow.

What are lumens?

Unlike wattage, which measures the amount of power a bulb uses, lumens measure a bulb’s brightness. The amount of lumens determines how bright the light appears. The higher the amount of lumens, the brighter the light. The lower the lumen count, the lower the brightness. So, while LED light bulbs can operate using a lower wattage than equivalent traditional bulbs, they can offer the low light or super bright light you’re looking for.
