What are Hexagon Dies used for?
The hexagon die is perfect for maintenance and repair work that needs to be done in tight and hard to access areas where larger tools cannot reach.
- The hexagon die is recommended for cutting external threads by hand and it can also be used with a wrench or sockets to extend its reach.

What are different types of threading die?
There are two types of hexagon dies to choose from:
- Fractional Die – is used on tough material to create external threads. This is commonly used on rods, bolts, and studs.
- Pipe Die – is used for the rethreading of taper pipes. Does not require a threaded connection to withstand high fluid or gas pressures.
